Thoughts are with you, Aspey.

Trouble is, in this day and age, due to heightened security on vehicles, as mentioned above, cars are not stolen as such. Car keys are.

Burglars are not my favourite people.

You'll be penalised twice as well if you don't get your car back, and have to buy a new one.Your wonderful insurance company will make sure they get something back if they have to pay out for stolen car, another set of barstewards

It should be like it is in America, were you have a right to use lethal force, to defend your property and in America, that means shooting them, now over here we don't have the general populace armed with guns, like they do in America, so that is why I say 'lethal force' should be allowed over here, using whatever weapon is available ..

I just speaking in general about thieves and if they were killed, when attempting to bugle a house or rob a car, them it would save s ffortune in legal and prison costs ...

Unfortunately, Bob, the thieves would also be armed, and then you entire family would be at risk.

Thieves once got into my sons car, by getting the keys off the hall table via a letter box, they then got in the house, then took the car, later found abandoned, police said druggies as lots of empty food wrappers in there, missing out the car was the new babies pram which I had bought for my first grandchild. that was 12 years ago, i know lots more familiar with this method of entry now.

best wishes aspey hope you get car back.

I realy feel for aspey, i know she works hard and is also working on a house in her spare time, the scum that robbed her probably have watched how busy she is and waited for the opportunity to strike, they probably have nothing else to do only prey on decent folks, she's spent a small fortune on the house she's refurbishing and this won't help in the slightest way,
best wishes from me too,

Sir bob, I live in America, have done for 37 years, I don't own a gun, never have never want to..
I think the same as Mac, if most people have guns, you can bet the thieves will too and then a robbery turns into a shootout.. with maybe multiple lives lost.

There was a case I think in Fl, not long ago.. a elderly man had had a few attempted robberies at his house.. One night he decided to wait for them with his gun... they came into his house, a male and female, saw him with the gun and turned to leave when he shot and killed them both, he is now in prison, for defending his home...

Hope all works out good for you Aspey...

You can bet the thieving scum doesn't work, they think it's ok to let everyone else work and then come and take off them.
